Waiheke Island Wine Tour

9am - 6.30pm

Spend the day on Waiheke Island. See Palm Bay & Onetangi Beach. Sample locally made olive oil and enjoy tasting the best wine and food at Obsydian Vineyard, Stonyridge Vineyard,  Cable Bay & The Goldie Room

Start the day with a relaxing 10km tour of the Auckland harbour front through Mission Bay Kohimarama & St Heliers. Take in panoramic views of Rangitoto and Waiheke Island in the Hauraki Gulf. On a clear day you can see the Coromandel peninsula.

Then on to meet the MV Sea Cat (see winery transport in website). The journey to Waiheke Island takes around 45 minutes before arriving at Kennedy Point. Visit Palm Bay and Onetangi beaches.  Stop at Obsydian to taste a flight of Waiheke Island wines including Viognier, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Syrah, Merlot, Cabernets and Montepulciano grown in their pictureque vineyards.

Visit the iconic Stonyridge Vineyard for tastings. Established in 1982 by the legendary Stephen White, you can enjoy estate grown Bordeaux and Rhone styles and also outstanding wines from their Fallen Angel range of varietals

Drop into Rangihoua Estate Olive Growers. Sample their award winning range of oils, pestos and dips. Enjoy tasting Sauvignon Blanc, barrel fermented Chardonnay, Syrah, Cabernet Merlots Riesling and Pinot Noir at Cable Bay Vineyard followed by an open menu one course lunch from their superb restaurant menu. Drop into The Goldie Room for a final salute to island wines from the first wine company on the island established in 1978.

There may be time to browse of the shops in Oneroa depending on the daily 5.00pm or weekend 4.30pm return sailing.
